Author: Elizabeth Ferris

Turkey, Uganda, and Colombia are among the top receiving countries of refugees. All three nations have shown great generosity and resolve in accepting, aiding, and integrating refugees, which has simultaneously resulted in successes and created enormous strain on social, political, and economic systems. Lessons gleaned from these three cases can inform policy to support refugee integration at the global, national, and local levels. This brief draws from a policy consultation held in March 2019 as part of the larger Global Refugee and Migration Project at Georgetown University.
