In this article Katherine Marshall recaps the 10th World Assembly of Religions for Peace, held in Lindau, Germany on Lake Constance in August 2019. She highlights the leadership handover of Religions for Peace from William Vendley, who has been the secretary general since 1994, to successor Azza Karam, now serving as senior advisor on culture at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Marshall also reviews the work of the assembly's five commissions; she was the principal author of the background paper for the commission on promoting just and harmonious societies.
