April 29, 2013

Based on an extensive survey of relevant scholarly literature in economics, political science, sociology and other disciplines, in this paper Timothy Shah and Anthony Gill identify concrete ways that religious freedom contributes to economic freedom and prosperity and political freedom and democracy. It is based on an earlier paper Anthony Gill presented to an RFP experts seminar at Georgetown in December 2012. Shah presented this paper, co-authored with Gill, at the Annual Meeting of the Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture (ASREC) in Washington, DC on April 13, 2013.
