In this discussion, writer Paul Elie and Christian Wiman, senior lecturer in religion and literature at Yale University Divinity School and author of My Bright Abyss: Meditation of a Modern Believer, reflected on poetry and the existential challenge of creating a credible language of belief. Wiman also discussed the work of Tomas Halik and Gerard Manley Hopkins.

The event was held as part of Georgetown's annual Jesuit Heritage Week and sponsored by the Georgetown University Office of the President.
