Joanna Arellano-Gonzalez is co-founder and director of training and formation at the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership (CSPL), a Catholic and Christian-rooted community organizing coalition that integrates liberation theology, spirituality, and grassroots organizing to advance community transformation.

Cynthia Bailey Manns is the director of adult learning at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Community in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was one of four U.S. lay participants at the Synod on Synodality.

Kim Daniels is the director of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University. She is a member of the Vatican Dicastery for Communication, and served in the 2021-24 Synod on Synodality. Kim has served as a consultor to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee for Religious Liberty, and has advised other Catholic leaders and institutions on a broad range of issues where Church teachings intersect with public life, including immigration, human life and dignity, and care for creation. She is an adjunct professor in Georgetown’s Department of Theology and Religious Studies, and serves as a member of Georgetown’s Mission Advisory Board and as the senior mentor for the Figge Fellowship Program. Kim is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and Princeton University.

Anne Thompson is a journalist currently serving as NBC News chief environmental affairs correspondent. She began her career as a journalist in 1979 and has since covered a variety of events, including the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, Ground Zero on 9/11, and the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and election of Pope Francis. Before covering environmental affairs, she served as NBC’s chief financial correspondent and reported on the economic impact of Hurricane Katrina, the increased cost of healthcare, and alternative fuel vehicles. She received the Gerald Loeb Award in 2004 and in 2006, and she was part of the team that won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Journalism Award and an Emmy Award for their coverage of Hurricane Katrina. Thompson has a bachelor of arts degree in American studies from the University of Notre Dame.

Sister Jane Wakahiu, LSOSF, Ph.D., is a member of the institute of the Little Sisters of Saint Francis, Kenya. Wakahiu provides leadership and direction of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s Program Department and oversees the Catholic Sisters initiative. Prior to joining the Hilton Foundation, Wakahiu was the executive director of the African Sisters Education Collaborative.
