Senior Research Fellow Rev. Gerard J. McGlone, S.J., was quoted in a Religion News Service article that examines the handling of abuse across multiple Christian denominations. McGlone stresses that while the Catholic Church has improved policies, trainings, screenings, background checks, and transparency, it still needs to confront the “distorted theological beliefs” that continue to enable abuse.
