Dr. Mamphela Ramphele spoke with Angela Reitmaier in Cape Town on February 9, 2012 at a conference where Dr. Ramphele gave a keynote address on "Mining's Contribution to Sustainable Development." Dr. Ramphele reflects on the spiritual dimension that is needed to heal the many wounds that Apartheid inflicted on black citizens of South Africa.

Fathali Moghaddam Publishes New Book on Intergroup Relations

Georgetown University Psychology Professor and Berkley Center Faculty Fellow Fathali M. Moghaddam has published Theories of Intergroup Relations: Psychological Perspectives in Global Context (2026). This book examines major theories of intergroup behavior, including perspectives on identity, conflict, justice, multiculturalism, and intergroup contact. The Hoya spoke with Moghaddam about the book and his research on intergroup relations.
