Katherine Marshall To Moderate Discussion on Social Cohesion at ICCS 2025

Katherine Marshall, Berkley Center senior fellow, will moderate a conversation at the upcoming International Conference on Cohesive Societies (ICCS) 2025, which has the theme "Cohesive Societies, Resilient Futures." The event will take place June 24-26 in Singapore and will be livestreamed.

Jocelyne Cesari Moderates Panel on Religion and Populism

Berkley Center Senior Fellow Jocelyne Cesari recently moderated a panel on "Religion and Populism: Local, National, and Transnational Dimensions" as part of the European Center for Populism Studies' "Fourth Annual International Symposium on Civilizational Populism: National and International Challenges." Cesari was also a primary organizer of the conference.

Georgetown Global Dialogues: Reflections from Rome

On June 9-10, 2025, leading novelists and public intellectuals gathered at Villa Malta in Rome for the second Georgetown Global Dialogue (GGD). Launched in Washington, DC, in April 2024, GGD is an inclusive, international conversation about innovative ways forward in a divided world that features leading thinkers from the Global South. Katherine Marshall Helps Launch New Georgetown-Lancet Commission on Faith, Trust, and Health

Announced in May 2025 by The Lancet, the Georgetown-Lancet Commission on Faith, Health, and Trust brings together a multidisciplinary group of faith and health experts to explore how collaboration across sectors can improve global health outcomes and well-being. Led by the Georgetown University Global Health Institute, the commission draws on years of research and dialogue at the Berkley Center, where Senior Fellow Katherine Marshall played a foundational role.
