Rt. Rev. Alexei Smith, a Greek Catholic priest, has served as ecumenical and interreligious officer of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since November 2000. Smith currently serves on the boards of several interreligious and ecumenical organizations; he is president of the Southern California Christian Forum and has served for many years as president of the Interreligious Council of Southern California. He has taught a course on Interfaith Dialogue Since Vatican II at Mount Saint Mary’s University, as well as a course on Current Trends in Ecumenical and Interreligious Thought as part of the International Institute of Tribunal Studies in Los Angeles.
