Abbé Ambroise Tiné is a Roman Catholic priest who worked with Caritas Senegal for over 10 years. His work centers on his passion for education, migration, and advocacy against injustices. Ordained in 1983, Abbé Tiné spent 16 years at his parish, engaging in pastoral duties, before becoming the diocese director of Catholic teaching. He began his tenure at Caritas as the diocese director and ultimately became the secretary general. Throughout his career, Abbé Tiné has focused particularly on the state of education in Senegal. He is guided by the conviction that God gave humans intelligence to gain knowledge that they can use to better the world and contribute to development.
