Andrea Sánchez Alvarez is an undergraduate student in international relations at Iberoamericana Puebla University, and she is a member of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program 2025-2026 cohort. Through her courses, she has developed a strong interest in social justice and human rights, particularly in the role of social actors and individuals in the process of social transformation. This commitment has been reflected in her work and study during her dual internship at the Center of Immigrant and Refugee Accompaniment at Loyola University of Chicago, as well as her work as a case manager in a non-governmental organization providing social services for immigrant communities. Her undergraduate thesis, which offers a critical analysis of the role of indigenous communities and their sociopolitical impact, was published in Incidencias, the academic journal of Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. In the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program, Andrea aspires to expand her knowledge and understanding in a diverse and inclusive context alongside her fellow participants.
