Christopher Pramuk is University Chair of Ignatian Thought and Imagination and professor of theology at Regis University in Denver. He is the author of two award-winning studies of Trappist monk and spiritual writer Thomas Merton (2009; 2013), as well as Hope Sings, So Beautiful: Graced Encounters Across the Color Line (Liturgical Press, 2015), a meditation on race relations in society and church. His book, The Artist Alive: Explorations in Music, Art, and Theology (Anselm Academic, 2019), draws from his many years of using music, poetry, and the arts in the classroom, and his latest book, All My Eyes See: The Artistic Vocation of Fr. William Hart McNichols (2024), explores the art and spirituality of one of the world’s foremost living iconographers. Chris lectures widely around the country and has led retreats on racial justice, Ignatian spirituality, and the witness of Thomas Merton.
