As part of the Berkley Center-Pulitzer Center International Reporting Fellowship, Claudia Amendoeira (SFS'25) is reporting on the connection between religion and violence in Brazil, as well as efforts to preserve Afro-Brazilian faiths.

Claudia Amendoeira (SFS'25) is an undergraduate student majoring in international politics with a concentration in international law and minoring in journalism. She is the recipient of the Pulitzer Center 2024 International Reporting Fellowship, and her work will investigate how Afro-Brazilian religions are under attack by evangelicals in Rio de Janeiro. Hoping to work as an international correspondent, Claudia has done research with a CNN reporter, interned with a photojournalist, and currently writes for Georgetown University student newspaper The Hoya.
