David Gushee is Distinguished Professor of Christian Ethics and director of the Center for Theology and Public Life at Mercer University. He has published over 20 books, including A Letter to My Anxious Christian Friends (2016), Sacredness of Human Life (2013), and The Future of Faith in American Politics (2008).
