Elisa Andrews is an undergraduate student at Fordham University, double majoring in international studies and political science with a minor in humanitarian studies, and she is a member of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program 2025-2026 cohort. Her academic and professional passion centers on expanding how education is approached for displaced and refugee girls, shaped by her firsthand experience working with refugee families and supporting vulnerable populations navigating complex legal and educational systems. In the future, Elisa plans to pursue graduate training in foreign service and education policy to work at the intersection of humanitarian diplomacy and education systems reform, ensuring that policy meaningfully changes lives. Born in Seattle and having lived in Portland, Rome, Chicago, Rhode Island, Florence, and New York, Elisa has witnessed how vastly different humans can be and believes that stories, empathy, and human connection lie at the center of meaningful political change.
