Farid Senzai is an assistant professor of Political Science at Santa Clara University, where he teaches courses on US foreign policy and Middle East politics. He is a former fellow of the
Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), a
research associate at the Brookings Institution, and a research analyst at the
Council on Foreign Relations. He served as a consultant for Oxford Analytica
and the World Bank. Senzai is on the board of directors at
the Central Asian Institute and has been an advisory board member
at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, where he contributed to
several national and global surveys on Muslim attitudes. His publications
include Political Islam in the Age of
Democratization (2013) and Educating the Muslims of America (2009, with Yvonne
Haddad and Jane I. Smith). Senzai
received his M.A. from Columbia University and Ph.D. from Oxford University.
