Rev. Ferdinand Muhigirwa, S.J., is director of the Arrupe Center for Research and Training in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and a board member at the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa. He was previously the director of the Center of Study for Social Action (French acronym CEPAS) in Kinshasa.
