Immaculee Mukankubito is the deputy director of Never Again Rwanda, based in Kigali, and oversees operations and quality control. Never Again Rwanda focuses on peacebuilding in a post-genocide society, with a particular emphasis on engaging youth. Her work includes developing concrete project proposals and managing programs, including cross-border dialogues that connect Rwandans with Congolese and Burundians; one program used participatory theater to facilitate discussion of identities and peace. Mukankubito previously worked for 10 years as the deputy director at the Institute for Research and Dialogue for Peace; she has also worked with World Bank and the Canadian Agency for Cooperation and Development projects in Rwanda. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a diploma in management, as well as a master’s degree in genocide studies and prevention.
