Ismary Guardarrama (SFS'21) is an undergraduate student in the School of Foreign Service, class of 2021, majoring in culture and politics and minoring in Russian. On campus, she can be found organizing events for Hermanas de Georgetown, the university's only Latina organization; working at the Lauinger Library; or planning her next article for the eastern European and Russian section of the Caravel. During the fall 2019 semester, Ismary studyed in Melbourne, Australia with a focus on the anthropological and environmental factors that affect refugees and immigrants in the eastern hemisphere. She shared her reflections on Australian culture through the Junior Year Abroad Network.
