Jacqueline Wilson has studied and worked on conflict, war,
violence and terrorism-related topics for almost three decades. She has worked in over 30 countries
throughout the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Balkans, and Asia and
she has lived in Saudi Arabia and Kenya. For her work with the United States
Institute of Peace since 2004 she has conducted dozens of workshops, courses
and seminars around the world and has published numerous documents, articles,
blog posts as well as conducted numerous media interviews. Her work at the
Institute has included a primary focus on electoral violence prevention, and
she observed elections in Kenya and Sudan.
She has also focused and published on local peace processes. She holds a
doctorate from Georgetown focusing on the compensation practice of blood money.
She retired from the US Air Force and Air Force Reserve at the rank of
Lieutenant Colonel.
