Javier Gelbwaser is the founder and director of the Coexistence in the Middle East Initiative at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Rothberg International School. He also founded the Collectiveness Initiative, which strives to support peacebuilding and fight racism. In 2013, Gelbwaser founded InnovNation, which seeks to spark innovation by acquainting participants with the experiences of some of Israel’s most innovative organizations and entrepreneurs. He was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
