Jessie Meier graduated from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service in 2016 with a major in international politics – foreign policy and a certificate in East Asian studies. From Bowling Green, Kentucky, she spent the 2014-2015 academic year at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. While there, she blogged for the Junior Year Abroad Network and worked on a research project about current South Korean policy regarding North Korean defectors and how to make the transition and integration process easier through future policy in an effort to look ahead to potential challenges of possible reunification.
