Katarina Pedersen was a graduate student at Georgetown University pursuing her M.A. in conflict resolution. She worked as a research assistant for Dr. Charles Villa-Vicencio and focused on the Middle East, especially transitional justice in Libya. Prior to attending Georgetown University, she received a master's degree from Oxford University in Japanese studies and completed her undergraduate education at St. Andrew's University, where she studied international relations and Arabic. She contributed to the Berkley Center's report on peacebuilding strategies in the spring of 2012.
