Dr. Kelly James Clark is a senior research fellow at the Kaufman Interfaith Institute at Grand Valley State University. He works on religious liberty and tolerance, philosophy of religion, ethics, science and religion, and Chinese thought and culture. A former professor of philosophy at Gordon College and Calvin College, Clark has also held visiting appointments at Oxford University, the University of St. Andrews, and the University of Notre Dame. He is the author of 25 books, including Religion and the Sciences of Origins: Historical and Contemporary Discussions (2014), Abraham’s Children: Liberty and Tolerance in an Age of Religious Conflict (2012), The Story of Ethics (2002), and 101 Key Philosophical Terms of Their Importance for Theology (2004). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
