Magali Goirand is currently a researcher at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI), a systems thinking practitioner, and a learning facilitator. She moved from San Francisco, California, in the United States to Australia to study applied Buddhism at Nan Tien Institute and then pursued a Ph.D. in health innovation at AIHI at Macquarie University in Sydney, which she completed in August 2023. Her research focuses on how to implement ethics in medical artificial intelligence using systems thinking. She has a strong interest in the healing arts from Asia such as tai chi, yoga, and Ayurveda, as well as meditative practices.
