Mara Lewis (C‘27) is an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences studying psychology with a minor in education, inquiry, and justice. She was raised in Derry, Pennsylvania, and loves immersing herself in the Georgetown and broader DC community. Around campus, Mara plays on the women’s ultimate frisbee team, works at the Writing Center, volunteers as a research assistant in Professor Jennifer Woolard’s community research group, and is a current Laidlaw Scholar. In her free time, Mara enjoys exploring museums and cafes around DC, crafting, and walking in the Georgetown neighborhood. She is passionate about the intersection of education and social justice, particularly how educational institutions foster belonging. In the future, she hopes to become a clinical psychologist and work with youth navigating the education system. Mara is a 2026 Education and Social Justice Fellow.
