Father Marcin Baran, S.J., is a professor of political science at the Jesuit University of Philosophy and Education Ignatianum in Krakow, Poland. During 2013 he is spending several months in Sri Lanka completing his tertianship in preparation for his Final Vows. Upon completion, Fr. Marcin will spend a period of time at a Polish parish in Chicago to further his understanding of Jesuit education in America. Father Baran studied theology in Rome for several years before completing his doctorate in Munich. He enjoys teaching in Krakow because of the opportunity it offers him to interact with Polish youth and share his international experiences with them.
