Mariapaula Pérez López is an international relations student at Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, and she is a member of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program 2025-2026 cohort. Mariapaula is passionate about history, international politics, and languages. She has been involved in multiple Model United Nations since high school, and in 2024, she did an exchange semester in The Hague, where she learned about different legal and practical approaches to local and global problems. Mariapaula’s main interests are human rights in the Americas and in post-communist states. Additionally, she recently discovered a liking for discursive analysis and the construction of narratives as a political strategy.
