Marthen Tahun has been a research staff member of the Center of Religious and Cross Cultural Studies at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta since August 2010. From 2010 to 2012 he was a member of the coordinating team for researching the growing Pentecostal Charismatic movement in Indonesia, a two-year research project in five different cities in Indonesia. Prior to that Tahun worked for the Asian Christian Art Association and American Friends Service Community Indonesia. Tahun was also a part of the Christianity and Freedom Project headed by the Berkley Center's Religious Freedom Project. He completed his M.A. from the Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies in 2007.
