Matthew Richards is an attorney and shareholder with Kirton & McConkie, working in the Constitutional, Religious, & Appellate Practice Section. He has experience advising and litigating on regulatory compliance, electronic discovery and records management, historical preservation, contract management, and First Amendment issues. Richards has been admitted to the Utah Supreme Court, US District Court for Utah, and the US Courts of Appeal for the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits. His publications include The Need for Legislation to Enshrine Free Exercise in the Land Use Context, 32 U.C. Davis L. Rev. 725 (with Von G. Keetch) and The Utah Medical No-Fault Proposal: A Problem Fraught Rejection of the Current Tort System, 1996 B.Y.U. L. Rev. 103. He received his BA and JD, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
