Michael Bayer graduated from Georgetown College in 2005 with majors in theology and philosophy, later receiving an M.A. in Christian ethics in 2007 from the Graduate Theological Union. Michael worked at the Berkley Center as a research assistant in 2008, focusing on Catholic social teaching, twentieth century Church figures, and papal encyclicals. He also assisted Professor Chester Gillis on the second edition of the book Roman Catholicism in America (1999).
