Rabbi Noam Marans is the American Jewish Committee’s director of interreligious affairs, heading the agency’s global interfaith outreach and advocacy, and has served as chair of the International Jewish Committee for Interreligious Consultations, world Jewry's official dialogue partner with the Vatican, Ecumenical Patriarchate, World Council of Churches, World Evangelical Alliance, and other bodies. He holds an M.A. and rabbinical ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. On the day of his election, Pope Leo XIV wrote personally to Rabbi Marans and several other Jewish leaders pledging to continue and strengthen the spirit of Nostra Aetate.
