Obiora Ike is a Catholic priest, scholar, publisher, and author from Nigeria who formerly served as the executive director of Globethics.net in Switzerland. Ike has been a professor at Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Tilburg University in the Netherlands, and most recently, at Godfrey Okoye University in Nigeria. He is the founder of a number of educational and development organizations in Nigeria, including the Catholic Institute for Development Justice Peace and Caritas, the Prisoners Legal Education and Assistance Scheme, and the Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Training Association. He is a chairman of the Enugu State Government Economic Advisory Committee and has served as a chairman of the Umuchinemere Procredit Microfinance Bank in Nigeria. He was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum. From 1975 to 1986, Ike studied in Nigeria, Austria, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom; he holds degrees in philosophy, theology, economics, journalism, and political science.
