Paul Joyce is Samuel Davidson Professor of Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at Kings College, London. His research interests include the exilic age of ancient Israel; history of the reception of the Bible; psychological interpretation of the Bible; reading the Bible in an interfaith context; hospitality in biblical and intercultural context; and the Bible in the modern world. Previous posts include university lecturer in Old Testament and fellow of St Peter’s College, Oxford University. Joyce is the author or editor of many books, including Lamentations through the Centuries (2013, with Diana Lipton) and Ezekiel: A Commentary (2007), plus many other essays and articles. He is a member of the Society for Old Testament Study and the Society of Biblical Literature. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Biblical Literature, the Scottish Journal of Theology, and the Hebrew Bible Monographs series. Joyce holds a doctorate from Oxford University, where he was Kennicott Hebrew Fellow.
