Rasoul Naghavi Nia is the founding director of the Mufid Academic Seminary in Fairfax, Virginia. His academic interests include Islamic law, mysticism, and Shia studies. His publications include Contemporary Shia Jurisprudence: A Reader (2009), By God In-Person (2009), and Two Rakats Story (2008). He holds a Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic studies from Georgetown University and a second Ph.D. equivalent from the Islamic Seminary of Qom (Iran), where he taught Islamic law, legal theory, and logic for many years.
