Saisha Mediratta is an undergraduate student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service (class of 2020) studying international political economy and women and gender studies. She is a Mortara Research Fellow, secretary of civil rights advocacy for the Georgetown University Student Association's Federal & D.C. Relations Committee, choreographer for Rangila, and runs social media for GU Jawani. Saisha presented her first-year seminar paper on Dadaab, Kenya at the 2017 Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network conference, and during summer 2017 she worked at the Center for Civic Innovation in Atlanta, Georgia as a civic engagement intern. She is passionate about social justice work and immigrant issues.
