Santiago Ramos is the executive editor of Wisdom of Crowds, an ideas collective and debate platform which publishes podcasts and essays about the first principles at stake in politics and culture. Santiago completed a doctorate in philosophy at Boston College, with a dissertation about Plato and beauty. At Boston College, Salem State University, Rockhurst University, and the University of Lucerne in Switzerland, Santiago taught courses in the history of philosophy, political theory, and business ethics. Santiago is a longtime contributor for Commonweal magazine and contributing editor for Plough. His essays and reviews have appeared in America, Salon, and The Lamp. He began his writing career as an art critic for the Kansas City alt-weekly, The Pitch. Santiago was born in Asunción, Paraguay, and migrated to the United States at a young age.
