Shahmeer Nawaz (C'24) is a senior in the College of Arts & Sciences studying government and history with a religion, ethics, and world affairs minor. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Shahmeer's research has focused on South Asian history and politics, with a focus on religious nationalism in India and Pakistan. Outside the classroom, Shahmeer has been involved with the Georgetown Cricket Club and the South Asian Society.
