Sofia Calabretta (SFS’28) is an undergraduate student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in science, technology, and international affairs. She is a member of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program 2025 cohort. Originally from Bellingham, Washington, she is passionate about advancing global health equity and community-driven solutions, which she actively pursues at Georgetown through the Mortara Undergraduate Research Fellowship and with Hoyas for Immigrant Rights. Sofia has worked with localized programs focused on public health and advocacy, leading initiatives to expand access to social services and reduce educational disparities at the elementary level in her community. As a student-athlete on the Georgetown track and field team, she also values discipline and teamwork. Looking ahead, Sofia aspires to drive sustainable change at the intersection of global health and public service.
