Solace in Spaces

In field notes published by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Berkley Center-Pulitzer Center International Reporting Fellow Syed Taha Kaleem (SFS'22) reflects on Sufi shrines as places of solace in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Taha Kaleem (SFS'22) is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University in Qatar, majoring in international politics with a minor in economics. Taha is the 2021 Berkley Center-Pulitzer Center international reporting fellow, and he will study Sufi shrines and conflict resolution in Kashmir. Taha has been an active part of the Georgetown community, representing the Georgetown Debating Union at the World Debating Championship 2019 in Thailand. He has also started and been a part of numerous student clubs at GU-Q. Taha aspires to study religion and public life.
