Younus Y. Mirza is the founding director of the Barzinji Institute for Global Virtual Learning at Shenandoah University. His research focuses on the relationship between the Bible and the Qur’an and the shared stories between them. He has also taught at Millsaps and Allegheny Colleges. Mirza is author of the forthcoming The Islamic Mary: Maryam through the Centuries (September 2025) and co-author of The Bible and the Qur’an: Biblical Figures in the Islamic Tradition (2018). He holds a Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic studies from Georgetown University.
