Alice Bolandhemat (SFS’24) shares how her study abroad experience allowed her to analyze the unseen realities in Italian religious culture in which faith, specifically Catholicism, was only as prominent in everyday life as people allowed it to be, outshining all of her preconceived notions.

The Religion, Ethics, and World Affairs minor gives students an opportunity to explore the role of faith and values across international relations, comparative politics, and history and cultures. This virtual space features the research of REWA students from their capstone seminar.

Esther Wroth reflects on how after spending a semester in Kazakhstan, one of the largest shifts she experienced is that she started self-identifying as Christian again. This shift, in large part, was because of many interreligious conversations about “how we do things.”
