The decline of multilateralism and the rise of multipolarity have revived the study of order in world affairs. What is taking the place of the U.S.-led international liberal order? This seminar will explore the role of ideology and religion—understudied topics in the field of international relations—in our emergent global constellation. Invited scholars will present work that relates to the impact of ideology and religion on foreign policy, international institutions, and global governance.
This research seminar series is co-sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Mortara Center for International Studies. Thomas Banchoff and Peter Mandaville are coordinating the seminar from the Berkley Center side.
