In this June 2010 Washington Post op-ed, RFP Director Tom Farr discussed the role of religious freedom in the Obama administration's foreign policy. He examined the consequences of minimizing religious liberty promotion, arguing that such a downgrade diminishes U.S. interests in regions around the globe. Pointing to policy areas where vigorous religious liberty advocacy enhances rather than undermines Obama administration initiatives as well as longstanding U.S. objectives, Dr. Farr argued forcefully for the continued presence of religious freedom in U.S. foreign policy.
