Hope Playwriting Seminar

In this intensive workshop seminar, students examined the process of writing a play by reading selected critical texts and plays, attending performances, and, at the culmination of the course, writing their own one-act play. The course focused on teaching students how to develop their own unique voice, and much of the course emphasized small group critical feedback and engagement with live performances of plays at professional D.C.-area theaters. This course (TPST-380) was taught by Christine Evans as a Doyle Seminar (small upper-level classes that foster deepened student learning about diversity and difference through research and dialogue).
