This chapter examines global governance and roles of religious communities in the context of digital transformation and democratic reforms. The role and relevance of religion in transnational affairs, as well as the debates and perceptions surrounding it, are also discussed. This chapter describes interreligious relationships and challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the role and activities of the United Nations and its various sub-organizations in the transnational governance sphere are elaborated on. The chapter concludes with ways ahead for religion and global governance in future years.
