Social Communication and Gender Justice: The Sagrado–Hogar Ruth Alliance Confronting Domestic Violence in Puerto Rico
In June 2026, Maya Mohosin (C'27) will conduct research on the partnership between the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Ferré Rangel School of Communication and Hogar Ruth para Mujeres Maltratadas, Inc. (Hogar Ruth), a community-based nonprofit that provides a range of financial and social services for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault in Puerto Rico. Her research seeks to understand how social communication and public relations campaigns can promote gender justice, institutional sustainability, and student formation within a Catholic framework.
