2016 International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum

Tuesday, September 20-21, 2016

In 2015, the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum (IHEILF) was initiated to bring a global perspective to the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge.

2016 marked the second year that international participants were invited to participate in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge and related events in Washington, D.C. Scholars, community leaders, and students from over 20 countries convened at Georgetown University for a two-day forum focused on the development of interfaith leadership formation in higher education. Participants shared experiences and promising practices across countries. The White House, Department of Education, Department of State, USAID, and other partners led workshops and the forum concluded with a public event on refugees, violence, and higher education on September 21.

This event was made possible by support from the International Shinto Foundation.
