This event featured acclaimed biographer Jonathan Eig, whose new biography of Martin Luther King Jr., King: A Life (2023), was longlisted for the National Book Award in nonfiction. Eig discussed the book and his journey as a writer in conversation with Paul Elie, author and senior fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs.

This in-person Faith and Culture Series event was followed by a reception and book signing. Copies of King: A Life were available for purchase.
