Faith and Feminism: A Critical Conversation

September 24, 2014
1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. EDT
Location: Off Campus Map

What are the most pressing issues at the intersection of faith and gender, and how can women of different faiths and views derive strength and meaning from their respective religions? This conference explored these important questions. Panel discussions focused on an examination and reframing of feminism to accommodate religious traditions; gender norms in religious dating and marriage; and achieving work-life balance among working mothers.

This event was co-sponsored by the Berkley Center Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, web magazine altFem (from the founders of altMuslimah.com and altCatholicah.com), and the World Faiths Development Dialogue.
